The Rufford Foundation The Rufford Foundation is a charitable grant-making foundation which was established in June 1982. The Foundation assists a wide variety of charities and has a special interest in nature conservation, the environment and sustainable development. UNEP DTIE OzonAction Programme The objective of the OzonAction Programme under the Multilateral Fund is to provide services which assist developing countries and Countries with Economies in Transition (CEITs) to achieve compliance with the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. With UNEP's assistance, countries are able to make informed decisions about alternative technologies and ozone-friendly policies. Capacity-building services that empower the National Ozone Units (NOUs) include an information clearinghouse, training and regional networking. UNEP Green Customs The United Nations Environment Programme is beefing up efforts to fight the multibillion-dollar illegal trade in ozone-depleting substances, toxic chemicals, hazardous wastes and endangered species. As part of a new initiative, UNEP's "Green Customs" web site focuses on training border guards to identify and apprehend smugglers tracking in "environmental commodities." US Department of Justice Gives information of cases prosecuted by the DOJ, including those of smugglers of ozone depleting CFCs US Environmental Protection Agency Ozone depletion at the EPA, giving information on implementation programs to protect the ozone layer, including requirements under the Montreal Protocol and Title VI of the Clean Air Act, such as the phaseout of ozone-depleting substance production, the stationary air-conditioning and refrigeration and motor vehicle refrigerant recycling programs, labeling regulations, and the ban on nonessential products.
