ACT NOW TO ADDRESS THE HFC EXPLOSION.

The urgent need for collaboration between the UNFCCC and the Montreal Protocol to establish a fast-acting HFC phase-out.

EIA's briefing sets out a simple, fast action plan to tackle the threat of a set of potent, made-man global warming gases.

Hydroflurocarbons (HFCs) are used widely in air-conditioning, foam products and refrigeration and their atmospheric concentrations are rising at about 15 % a year. This dramatic increase is despite the fact that there are viable, low global warming potential alternatives available.
