This site provides a list of wildlife and conservation organisations within the following non-African countries: France, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Italy, Czech Republic and the UK.

CITES
CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) is an international agreement between Governments. Its aim is to ensure that internatinoal trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threatent their survival.

Elephant Information Repository
A detailed resource tool offering access to elephant related news, events and basic information. The site also offers access to a comprehensive list of elephant-related literature.

Films4Conservation
Films4Conservation provide an umbrella website drawing together reports, videos, photographs and news covering a range of subjects: forests, apes, tigers, and elephants. Expertly put together by Nick & Evie of Cockroach Productions.

Friends of the Asian Elephants
A Thai non-governmental organisation which aims to assist the elephants of Thailand by providing help to professionals involved with elephants as well as by gathering data on elephants in Thailand. This NGO also runs an elephant hospital, a mobile vets project and a registration for domesticated elephants.

Journal of International Wildlife Law and Policy
The purpose of American Society of International Law's Wildlife Interest Group is to contribute to the objective of conserving endangered wildlife species by helping to strengthen international wildlife treaty regimes, regional accords and national legislation that implements international treaty regimes.

Journalists Environmental Association of Tanzania
The journalists Environmental Association of Tanzania (JET) is as independent, Non-Governmental Organisation working in the fields of environment, women affairs and sustainable, development nationally internationally. It works by collecting information on environmental and sustainable development issues in Tanzania which it disseminates through JET publications and other media.

Lawyers Environmental Action Team (Tanzania)
The Lawyers' Environmental Action Team is the first public interest environmental law organization in Tanzania. It was established in 1994 and formally registered in 1995 under the Societies Ordinance. Its mission is to ensure sound natural resource management and environmental protection in Tanzania. LEAT carries out policy research, advocacy, and selected public interest litigation. Its membership largely includes lawyers concerned with environmental management and democratic governance in Tanzania.

Living with Elephants
A non-profit organisation working in Botswana trying to improve the human relationship with African elephants. A strong emphasis placed on educational and research programs seeking to minimise conflict between the two species.

Save The Elephants
An organisation that focuses on research, education, grass-roots conservation, and the continued monitoring and protection of African elephants.

South Luangwa Conservation Society (SLCS)
SLCS was set up by concerned stakeholders and individuals to provide support to the Wildlife Authoriy in the fight against poaching in the South Luangwa National Park, Zambia. They also work to promote conservation and education amonst local people.

Species Survival Network (SSN)
EIA is a proud Board member of the Species Survival Network, a global coalition of conservation and animal protection organisations working within the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species to prevent over-exploitation of wildlife due to international trade.

The Irish African/Asian Conservation & Wildlife Trust

Wildlife and Environmental Society of Malawi (WESM)
WESM works to promote public education and participation in the informed management of wildlife, natural resources and the environment.

Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force
A group of various organisations including the Department of National Parks and Wildlife and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. Offers assistance with anti-poaching patrols within Zimbabwe’s National Parks.
